White's Boot Leather Laces 8 or 10 Inch O/S

I was told in wildland class that leather laces were mandatory. Not the case. this is my first fire season and Ive been on one fire, lace on one boot broke. Any fireproof string or lace will do better honestly.

Got these to go with my wildland fire boots. I laced the boots and put them on my feet. I pulled on the laces and one of them just broke. I decided to to buy the rhino laces instead.
